Jack (Jörg) Godau

I grew up in Australia, took two degrees with distinction at RMIT University in Melbourne, and built security solutions for major telcos at IBM Global Services. In 2006 I moved to Berlin, and stayed.

Since then I have run technology in exactly the areas where mistakes get expensive: healthcare, the public sector, regulated industries. At Schütze AG (now Nortal) I tripled the engineering division to 45 people and built trusted-third-party systems for Germany’s Federal Joint Committee and national medical registries. At CompuGroup Medical I led 150 engineers across five countries as interim VP. At doctorly, as Chief Digital Officer and CISO, I took a certified cloud practice-management system from zero to launch, including e-prescription, telematics infrastructure and a development subsidiary in South Africa that I co-founded and ran.

Teams that are taken seriously deliver. My attrition rate stayed under three percent for years, and that was no accident.

And the Hawaiian shirts? Ten years of volunteer search and rescue with the Victorian State Emergency Service taught me that even in serious situations you are allowed to keep a cool head and a bit of colour. The shirt stayed.
